Centro Italia Yachting® builds custom whirlpool tubs for superyachts, yachts, and catamarans with customization options related to shape, size and whirlpool systems.

All custom hot tubs for yachts and catamarans manufactured by Centro Italia Yachting® are designed to be safe and functional even during navigation, when huge masses of water may stress the structures. Our extensive experience in the nautical sector and our open approach to technological experimentation allow us to address these issues, creating unique, high-design and safe products.

 

Centro Italia Yachting® offers custom whirlpool tubs for yachts, superyachts and catamarans with different hulls:

  • Reinforced vinyl ester resin with neopentyl gelcoat finish;
  • Aluminum;
  • Marine grade AISI 316 stainless steel.

Available linings include:

  • Carbon fiber, a material that responds well to stresses and ensures high performance in terms of stiffness-to-weight and strength-to-weight ratios. Characterized by high mechanical strength, this material has excellent thermal insulation capabilities and resistance to temperature;
  • Bisazza 1x1 mosaic, a sophisticated and elegant classic lining that can be renewed after several years of use through our refitting service.

Furthermore, we offer two types of whirlpool systems, which can also be combined to achieve a complete hydro massage service:

  • ABS or stainless steel nozzles using the Venturi water/air principle;
  • Air nozzles (insufflation) that introduce air.

All our structures are designed in perfect compliance with Rina Naval Regulations and are high-engineering achievements, involving technicians and architects who study all projects using 3D designs. During the design phase, we can precisely define the final outcome of the work, which we share with the client through three-dimensional models that accurately represent the structure to be built. All our creations comply with European directives for product safety.

 

Technical Features of Hot Tubs for Yachts

Centro Italia Yachting® mini pools are extremely sophisticated in technical terms. Options include hot tubs with self-supporting structures, with a female model in polyurethane and a reinforced vinyl ester tub, or preformed EPS built-in structures, glued to an existing hull and waterproofed. Filtration and whirlpool systems can be incorporated into the pool if there is no available space in a dedicated room. The structures can include glass walls and/or glass floors, with water overflowing from the wall like waterfalls. Additionally, the system can be enriched with white LED lighting or RGB lighting with chromotherapy.

Piping can be rigid PVC PN10 or flexible PVC where space is limited. These are secured to the yacht with special brackets.

Electrical panels can be positioned near the pool or in a designated space. Electrical cables, specifically designed for the nautical sector, connect the panels to the pumps and accessories through dedicated channels.

The backup tank is usually made of steel and is located near other tanks. It is equipped with an independent filtration and heating system, with the necessary water volume to fill the pool always available.

Regarding grounding, we implement structures that can have all the necessary grounding aboard. It is as if the metallic hull of the yacht were immersed in the ground, acting as an electricity disperser.

Covers can be automatic and semi-rigid, maintaining water cleanliness and temperature levels. They can also be walkable, providing extra space on board the yacht.

Transparent Walls

For custom pools and hot tubs for yachts and catamarans, Centro Italia Yachting® offers various types of glass walls:

  • PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate). This is a thermoplastic polymer derived from mass polymerization of monomer through casting. In addition to being highly resistant to high temperatures and aggressive chemical agents, this material offers great rigidity and transparency (92% for colorless sheets). It is very easy to polish and glue, and its optical and mechanical properties do not change over time. Acrylic sheets are usually used for curved walls or in general for pools or tubs located in rather challenging locations. This material is known for its high maneuverability and minimal weight. The warranty is ten years.
  • Laminated glass. Centro Italia Yachting® uses Extra Clear Float Laminated Glass - parallel or curved tempered - with transparent PVB. For very large walls, SGP is used, characterized by high neutral transmittance, allowing for curvature with very narrow radii. This material has excellent transparency, brightness and light transmission. It is colorless (with a slight greenish tint in the classic line) and ensures perfect contrast rendering. Laminated glass walls are also safe because they do not release fragments in case of breakage. The high performance of this material, combined with the possibility of matching between glass sheets through transparent films, makes it ideal for large bodies of water.

 

Home Automation and Automation Systems

All Centro Italia Yachting® custom pool and whirlpool systems for yachts can be managed automatically thanks to a programmable logical control system with Siemens PLC. The purpose of the system is to quickly obtain a set of functions of high constructive magnitude and to interface directly with the general system of the yacht. The factors that can be controlled by the system are numerous: water temperature, simultaneous valve opening and closing, flow direction, action times in seconds and much more.

This system ensures the interconnection of all systems and with the functions designed by our technicians, the following operations can be controlled and directed:

  • Automatic filling of the pool or hot tub;
  • Draining;
  • Filtration maintenance;
  • Heating system;
  • Whirlpool activation;
  • Activation of various additional features such as cascade, insufflation, lighting, etc.

Safety of Systems

Nautical Insurance

Centro Italia Yachting® has DINAMICA BUSINESS 360 insurance, specific to the nautical world. The insurance policy has an extended duration for the period of work in shipyards and is valid both in Italy and abroad. After delivery, the policy remains valid for the entire warranty period and it also includes territorial extension: RC0 in the territories of all countries in the world, RCT for all countries in the world excluding the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
