For wellness areas, Centro Italia® creates self-supporting turkish baths. We specialize in custom high-density nautical EPS or XPS cabins interiors (if provided by the shipyard), installing all necessary lighting and accessories. Turkish baths are customizable in many details: you can choose the covering, lighting, as well as additional functions such as chromotherapy, enriching the onboard wellness space. We use only the most resistant and durable materials to ensure perfect results. In Turkish baths, we install stoves and generators for sports use, meaning there is no time limit for their operation.

The integration of a Turkish bath on a yacht must comply with strict safety requirements, particularly concerning the fire resistance of the partitions. This ensures that, in the event of a fire in the Turkish bath or adjacent areas, there is sufficient time for evacuation and emergency intervention before the fire can spread to other parts of the yacht.

Class A Partitions

Class A partitions are constructed with materials that can withstand fire for a specified period. They are designed to prevent the spread of fire between different compartments of the vessel. The class of a partition (A-60, A-30, B-15, etc.) indicates fire resistance in minutes.

A-60 Standard: For boats over 500 GT. The A-60 standard requires partitions to have 60 minutes of fire resistance. This standard is typically applied to large-tonnage ships, ensuring a high level of protection in the event of a fire.

A-30 Standard: For boats under 500 GT. The A-30 standard requires 30 minutes of fire resistance. It is intended for smaller vessels but still provides significant protection.

Class B Partitions

B-15 Standard for yachts designed for short-range navigation. The B-15 standard specifies 15 minutes of fire resistance. This standard is applied to yachts that primarily operate in coastal or short-range waters, where the likelihood of immediate rescue is higher.

These regulations are often part of international conventions such as SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea), which sets minimum standards for the construction, equipment, and operation of ships in order to ensure maritime safety. Yachts, depending on their size and use (private or commercial), may be subject to specific regulations that vary depending on the flag under which they operate. It is important to consult a maritime law expert or the relevant authorities to ensure compliance with all applicable requirements.
