The structure of Centro Italia Yachting® pools for catamarans
WE CAN CREATE DIFFERENT TYPES OF HULLS:
- aluminum hulls;
-
reinforced vinyl ester resin and neopentyl gelcoat finish hulls;

AISI 316 marine stainless steel hulls.
These materials ensure high performance as they are responsive to stresses.
THERE ARE TWO MAIN TYPES OF WHIRPOOLS:

Hydro massage: ABS o stainless steel vents using the Venturi water/air principle;

Blowing: air blowing vents.
Both types may be combined.
AVAILABLE COATINGS ARE:

carbon fiber, a material that gives excellent performance in relation to stiffness/ weight and strength/ weight values. Carbon fiber is characterized by high thermal insulation capacity and has great mechanical strength;

Bisazza 1x1 mosaic, a classic and refined coating.
MAIN TUB TYPES:
-
Whirlpool with self-supporting structure, female type, polyurethane and reinforced vinyl ester tub. Coupling supports with stainless steel frame are used. The frame is then welded to the boat. As for the coating, 1x1 mosaic is usually used with which you can obtain very tight radii curves;

Whirlpool with built-in structure in preformed Eps, which is glued to an existing hull and waterproofed. Usually, the coating used is mosaic with epoxy grouting.
Crystal walls
For both self-supporting and recessed pools, we may create a glass floor and/or one or more glass walls, letting the water drop like a waterfall. There are two main materials for walls:

methacrylate PMMA, a thermoplastic polymer resulting from the bulk polymerization of monomer, by casting. Perfect for the marine industry thanks to its excellent resistance to weather, chemicals and UV rays, PMMA has high transparency (92% for no color plates) and its thermoforming allows a simple gluing. Moreover, it offers excellent optical and mechanical properties unaltered over time, as well as a unique unmatched optical purity. Ten-year guarantee;

laminated glass, in particular the Extra Clear Laminated Float Glass, parallel or curved tempered glass in transparent PVB. This colorless material (it’s got a very light greenish color) offers excellent neutral transmittance with excellent color rendering, as well as outstanding brilliance and transparency. For extra wide walls, we employ SGP which help create very tight curves even with glass, increasing resistance to water pressure. Another advantage of laminated glass is safety: if broken, this material does not eject fragments.
Centro Italia Yachting® pools for catamarans: equipment and technical features
The equipment for catamaran pools (filtration, whirlpool, blowing, waterfalls, lighting) uses extremely low power supply, 24/48 V. On small catamarans, 24 V is usually used, while 48 V is used on vessels 40 meters and over.
The Siemens electronic system allows an automatic management of all devices. The system controls the absorption of engines, load distribution and the operation of accessories, both on board and remotely. This technology offers a great advantage which is the possibility to prioritize the required services, for example by putting in OFF state some high-absorption functions such as water heating when not needed. In general, the management of utilities can be mechanical in small catamarans and electronics (Siemens) in large boats.
The main technical features of our catamaran pools and whirlpools are the following:

we can provide for built-in filter and whirlpool systems or else such systems may be placed in a dedicated room;

pipes are usually made of rigid PN10 PVC and are fixed to the structure through special brackets. Where space is limited, flexible PVC pipes are used;

CEI 18-49 electric cables are those specifically used in the marine industry and connect switchboards to the electric pumps and tools through ducts. Switchboards can be placed near the swimming pool or in a special room.
Also, we provide for all the necessary on-board grounding system. Sea water is like a low resistivity surface and it’s as if the catamaran hull were immersed in the surface, turning into an electricity distributor.
Safety of facilities
All plants built by Centro Italia Yachting® are carefully safe and controlled. All electric immersion systems (touch buttons and any other accessory) have the IP 68 protection, while non-immersed equipment (such as electric panels) are protected with IP 56.
The stainless steel backup tank is equipped with a filtration system and an independent heating system, with which you can fill the pool at any time. Finally, you can choose robust and safe automatic and semi-rigid covers, which can also turn into walkable surfaces, optimizing the available space.
Automation and home automation systems
With Centro Italia Yachting® you can manage the automation of all on-board systems. Thanks to our state-of-the-art Siemens PLC logic programmable management system, you can automatically adjust water temperature, lighting, whirlpool or waterfall functions, or even activate the automatic filling or draining. Of the pool.
This innovative technology allows the interconnection of all pool facilities, the network connection and interface with the catamaran main system.
INSURANCE of POOLS IN THE MARINE INDUSTRY
We rely on the DINAMICA BUSINESS 360 navigation insurance, which covers the entire period of intense activities in shipyards both in Italy and abroad. After delivery, the warranty period is subject to territorial extension: RC0 in worldwide territories, RCT for all countries except the USA, Canada and Mexico.
